Monticello was designated as an Official Indiana Main Street Organization by Lt. Governor Sue Ellsperman on May 13, 2015.
The Indiana Main Street program is founded on community economic development principles that emphasize preservation and development of traditional downtown resources.
There are currently 127 Indiana Main Street Communities all working to encourage economic development, redevelopment, and improvement of downtown areas of Indiana cities and towns.
S.O.M.A. is a volunteer organization dedicated to revitalization and economic growth in downtown Monticello.
The Streets of Monticello Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to encourage and support revitalization, collaboration, and future growth through activities that promote, enhance, and drive community and economic development in downtown Monticello.
